Initially the cassis is dominant on the nose as well as some light cigar box. However it does not follow through to the palate. As a light wine, it is a great representation of the 2004 vintage, despite the large crop; the lower end seemed to be below par. As it opens up the cabernet starts to dominate and becomes more balanced but it never really expresses the left bank. A very drinkable wine, great for the budget!

Fresh light wine. Doesn't linger that long, but has nice notes of current without being overly fruity and that allow for easy sipping.
