A fresh and slightly lean sparkling wine with a lightly toasty vanilla nose and flavors of grapefruit and apple. Crisp on the palate but with enough complexity for food pairing, the wine ends with a clean, citric finish. Friendly and delicate.

The charming nose of freshly picked berries promises good things to come. Off-dry, but not cloying, the palate is approachable and flirty, with fresh fruit flavors and a crisp finish. Not terribly complex, but overall a good go-to sparkling wine.

A very light floral nose opens to an apple-cider and clove palate. The soft mousse and round mouthfeel set up for the clean apple and spice finish. A touch sweet, but it has a relaxed appeal.

It begins with classic brut aromas of citrus, peach and strawberry, with oak, smoke and yeast shadings. But it’s surprisingly sweet. Well made and clean, with crisp acidity and nice restraint to the fruit. But those expecting a drier wine will be disappointed.

Though labeled Champagne, it is in fact a sparkling wine made in the Champagne method (fermented in the bottle). Chardonnay and Pinot Blanc are the grapes, and the wine has effusive, yeasty bubbles, a spicy/steely aroma and good balance. There is a bit of a hole in the flavor, which starts and finishes well but falls off in midpalate.

This flavorful sparkler comes from one of upstate New York's most respected producers. Pear, floral and mild spice aromas open on to herbs and flowers on the palate. The bead is steady, though not terribly fine, and the finish long, with bread and lemon-lime notes. Good for dining as well as toasting.
