Expert NoteJanuary 12, 2012
Young, very crisp wine, definitely in the bright acidity style of sparkling wine, its fruits going towards currants, with a final grapefruit citrus element. It does need a few more months’ bottle age to lose its complete emphasis on acidity.

A creamy-textured wine, with soft nuts, star fruit and rambutan flavors, along with some good crisp acidity. There is a fine texture here, giving a wine that is already delicious to drink.

Expert NoteJanuary 12, 2012
One of the best sparkling Vouvrays, this 2005 vintage has an extra richness from the year. It has the mineral, chalky edge of Chenin Blanc, but this is rounded out with pear, white peach and sweet almond flavors. Good to drink now, but also worth aging for 2–3 years.

With baked apple aromas, this is a soft, sweet, creamy wine, remaining fresh, with hints of white fruits and honey, finishing with lively acidity.

Bright, apply acidity with just an edge of nuttiness gives a bone-dry, very fresh wine, textured with green herbs and lemon zest. To enjoy now.

Expert NoteJanuary 12, 2012
A sumptuous wine, creamy and nutty, full of ripe apples, touched by yeast. It is fresh and rich, very dry, a toasty character yielding to final crisp, clean acidity.

Expert NoteJanuary 12, 2012
A complex wine that is showing acidity, toast, fresh almond and spice. It has a firm layer of dryness that mingles with the crisp yellow fruits, tangerine zest and finishing acidity. Like so many fine Chenin Blancs, this needs to age.

Expert NoteJanuary 12, 2012
Somewhat hard-edged wine, showing the sharpness of young Chenin Blanc. It has a future, though, as this edge drops away, because there is some good weight as well as bright fresh final acidity. Keep for several months.

Ripe and creamy, a classic sparkling Vouvray showing well in a cool year. It has weight and richness as well as fresh nuts and spice flavors, with just a touch of pepper. The acidity is well in balance.
