Although not a Sauternes in origin, this seemed like a good place to reflect this rarely-seen wine; deep amber color beginning to border on brown; intense and wonderful nose with classic aromas of burnt sugar, caramel, vanilla, and loads of butterscotch, but also with sweet fruit and floral aromas that suggest magnolia blossoms; sweet, ripe and smooth in the mouth; thick but not clumsy; caramel and brown sugar mixed with pineapple and vanilla bean; touch of burnt almond and charcoal; liquid candy.
