This wine is so young that it still seems to have the elements of the cellar defining its character; not an area that produces notable red wines, this is no exception; light nose, lots of sweet fruit and citrus, touch of minerals, but pretty two-dimensional; pretty much the same in the mouth; light fruit, pleasant enough, and great at a picnic, but you wouldn’t take it to the opera.
