Try this charmingly rustic wine with almost anything that calls for a very dry red wine. It has earthy, fruity flavors, and the tannins are firm and dusty.

Polished and smooth, with fancy cocoa, blackberry, cherry and coffee flavors that are well-ripened and long-lasting. The tannins are gentle, with good acidity. Turns candy sweet on the finish.

Deep purple in color with a yeasty nose, this Zin from the southern end of the Sierra Foothills is structured and intense, dry and more spicy than fruity, with plenty of savory pepper and chocolate throughout. Its 15.5% alcohol level adds a whole other layer of size. Pair with some serious barbecue.

Smoky and meaty, but balanced by brooding black fruit and dark, earthy flavors. The fruit is ripe and round on The midpalate, then turns a bit tart and attenuated on the finish.

A light golden SB from Calaveras County with tons of tropical aromas, predominantly pineapple, that follow into the taste, which veers disproportionately sweet, with not enough acidity to balance it out.

A little too much oak for my taste. Agree with Alyssa re: flavors of candied lemons.

New or new world oak zinged a bit in this wine for me. Candied lemon and grilled grapefruit- more cirtrus than I'd expect in a Chard.
