A dark, meaty nose has hints of vanilla and dust, and this wine fills the mouth with a full body and dry but fine tannin. Despite being barrique aged the oak is not obvious, showing more graphite and tobacco leaf. There seems to be very little fruit at this stage, however, and an ashy finish adds an off note.
