This is a Cab that boasts direct aromas of blackberry, plum, clove, espresso, prune and dark chocolate. It has a solid core of ripe fruit and a firm structure followed by succulent tannins.

A neon pink color segues to an equally loud palate of cotton candy, cherry soda and bubblegum. The intensity is there and you might pair this wine with hearty fish soup to lose that synthetic edge.

We really like this Merlot from Umbria and are won over by its dark concentration and bright aromas of red fruit, spice, cherry fruit and leather. The fruit tastes soft and supple and the mouthfeel is shaped by oak tones of toast and light smoke.

This is a modern, powerful interpretation of Sangiovese from Umbria that delivers earthy, leather tones as well as sweet spice and black fruit such as prunes and plums. It’s a distinctive, and slightly disjointed wine with a few sharp points and plenty of chocolate spice and cinnamon biscuits in the background. The mouthfeel is big and thick with blueberry flavors and broad nutty tones.

This is a fine example of Grechetto’s potential as a structured, food-friendly, white wine. It offers vibrant intensity and deep aromas of mature fruit, peach, pear and pecan butter with a creamy, soft texture and playful citrus on the finish. Try it with an avocado and crabmeat salad.

Chiorri’s Sangiovese is sharp and focused, with vibrant fruit flavors and spice. The only distraction is the high alcohol. In order to diminish its effects, pair this wine with creamy pasta dishes or béchamel.
