* Expert NoteDecember 19, 2005
Light nose, but very nicely balanced with good aromas of plums and black cherries, dry tannins and a touch of earth and wood; smooth and fresh, first taste has an abundance of black and red cherries, some citrus flavored acidity, but not too much; lighter than the more noted appellations, of course, but a well-made and well-balanced Burgundy; this wine is a real value for the money; supposedly the wine preferred by Henry IV.
