Off-dry, with sugary flavors of pineapples, lemons, limes and honeysuckle flowers. Good acidity keeps the finish clean.

Good, deep flavors in this dry Cabernet. They include well-developed blackberries, black currants, dark chocolate and tobacco, with savory hints of licorice, black pepper and cinnamon toast, smeared with plum jam. The texture could be a little smoother, as it’s somewhat gritty.

A very good Cabernet, rich and dry, but you’ll want to decant it for a few hours to let it soften. Right out of the bottle it’s rough, giving a gritty feeling to the ripe blackberries and currants. Drink now–2012.
