This classy claret puts a sophisticated spin on southern Oregon Bordeaux-blends. The roughly equal mix of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Cabernet Franc has a supple power. Aromatic and sexy with scents of berry and plum, it slides into a silky, seductive midpalate and continues seamlessly through a finish that is both spicy and shows a touch of new oak.

This is estate-grown and nicely ripened, showing sweet scents and flavors of blackberry compote. Though it trends toward a jammy, high-alcohol profile, it keeps itself firm with solid, smooth tannins and enough acid to provide support. It’s more California than Oregon, with the sweet fruit and high alcohol backed with a liquor-barrel finish.
