Deep and rich nose with layers of chocolate, green herbs, violets, very ripe sweet fruit, deep and complex nose with endless nuance; sweet and rich in the mouth with layers of fruit flavors; most dominant are red fruits, but there is a deeper sweeter layer of black fruits as well; very fresh in the mouth and not prone to the tired overripeness of some from the ’90 vintage at this stage of their lives; outstanding balance in this wine with lots of pepper and spice at the finish; from Bryan Jacobowski’s cellar so the source is impeccable. Sweet and ripe nose with layers of fruit, cherry aromas, perfumed and aromatic, tobacco leaf, hints of chocolate, green herbs; sweet and very ripe in the mouth, the opulent comes to mind; beautifully balanced between ripeness and crispness as there is a deep layer of acidity that helps to maintain focus; long finish with floral flavors not untypical of Dujac’s wines. Very typical of Dujac, the wine opens with a burst of cherry fruit and sweet floral scents, seems almost too sweet, perfumed, there is a touch of earth under it although; sweet and rich in the mouth; lots of black cherry flavors; good tannins and balance; there is a nice citric presence of composted lemon peel in the flavors; not particularly complex, and seems a bit forced; good finish though and certainly well made. Sweet nose but seems clumsy and undeveloped, lots of sweetness but somewhat undifferentiated, some barnyardy elements, wooden, earthen tones; same in the mouth, flat and somewhat murky and indistinct; a bit superficial, tastes like it has been chapitalized; gets a bit more character as it moves through the mouth and finishes with some lemony citrus flourishes, but overall not a great example of the genre. Very sweet and aromatic, quite perfumed, almost too much of the feminine scents of floral herbs here, still plenty of ripe black cherry aromas; fresh and ripe in the mouth with smooth, polished textures; at the same time intense and powerful, crabapple, cranberry, sour cherry flavors, but supple and balanced; this is a very good wine and has a beautiful long finish. (18.5/20)

Sweet and earthen nose with lots of ripe fruit, herbal, green spices abound to the point where the nose is almost bitter; ripe and full in the mouth with a fresh, fruit-laden presentation; lots of black cherry fruit, a good dollop of earth, some wooden tannins; perhaps a bit tense and stiff at the end; good balance though. (17/20) At another event, a magnum of the same wine seemed richer and sweeter with more silky textures and seductive flavors that show some chocolate and caramel notes; I would have to add a point for this bottle.
