The CDP reds typically get most of the attention, but this gem from Clos des Papes stands out. Number 10 on Wine Spectator's Top 100 list for 2010. Made with no oak and no malolactic fermentation, the wine appears very light, almost like water. Crisp with tropical fruit notes along with peach and lychee. Elegant wine with a complex finish. If I were going to spring for a nice bottle of white, this would be it.
