Soft and elegant nose, sweet subtle aromas that are beguiling, very aromatic, spicy and smoky; sweet and round with lots of sweetened fruit in the background, but the main body is wonderfully citric and lemony with layers of nuance flavors; subtle and complex as one would expect from this producer; long finish, smooth and rich, intense and lemony at the end. Thick nose with aromas of bacon fat and meat mixed with sweet fruit and sugar, complex nose with layered aromas; surprisingly simple in the mouth; quite hard and tough and the fruit that was evident on the nose is missing in the body of the wine; hard and tough at the end with little to soften the edges; disappointing, to say the least. Very sweet nose on this wine, you really sense the presence of botrytis here, mixed with subtle green herb, smoke, and earth aromas; a bit clumsy in the mouth, with somewhat undifferentiated flavors; good sweetness of fruit, but not as clean and well defined as I would have though, given the reputation that this property has; sweet lemons, citrus highlights and smooth textures, but it tastes more ordinary than it should.
