Bouncy plum fruit is tempered by oak and earth; a medium body, and an easy-on-the-wallet price tag make this Garnacha Vieja a good choice for your next BYOB gathering. Finishes with more oak and tart cherry flavors. 33,000 cases produced. —D.M.

Medium and well-balanced, this 50-50 Tempranillo-Grenache’s mouthfeel is its best feature. Offers vague red fruit and oak flavors, and creamy-meaty aromas. Would have fared even better had there been more intensity on the palate. —D.M.

Full acidity and racy, with raspberry and strawberry flavors. The core, however, is less than ripe, while the finish is tart.
