Amarone Corte Giara offers an informal but very approachable alternative to more austere and muscular interpretations of the wine. This is a smooth, food-friendly blend from Verona with bright aromas of cherry, dried cassis and spice.

This is a lean, less formal expression of Amarone that seems to focus nicely on freshness and wild berry nuances. Cherry, blackberry, spice, cola, almond and tobacco all come to mind.

In the past, Allegrini adopted a vocal stand against Ripasso (a middle ground wine between Amarone and Valpolicella) and for this reason Corte Giara Ripasso comes as a big surprise. Despite the controversy, this historic producer presents a very acceptable wine with pretty tones of sweet spice and bright berry.
