Expert NoteDecember 19, 2005
Earthy, smoky nose, caramel, black cherry aromas, ripe and rich, dry wood, but at the same time there is a real austerity to the nose that this wine has; the flavors are the same; there is a subtle richness but it does not last; the wine turns dry and very acidic in the mouth, thin and austere after a time; this wine is missing most of its fruit; the wine is dry and acidic at the end; not recommended despite the grand cru designation.
