It isn’t Hermitage, but it’s clean, fruity and pleasant, in a rustic sort of way. Five dollars is the suggested retail price, but you can probably find it for even less. Sharp in grapey-jammy black cherries and mocha, and fully dry, it’s the kind of inexpensive house red that millions of Americans depend on. Kudos to Bronco Wine Co., which makes this and other value brands, including Two Buck Chuck.

From the Two Buck Chuck folks, a real bargain. Dry and crisp in acidity, and pleasant in bright spearmint, melon and fig flavors. It’s the kind of wine that’ll go with a wide variety of food.

Not much going on with this thin, watery wine. It’s dry and tart, with a splash of citrus flavor.

Good five-buck wine. Dry, full-bodied and juicy in youthful berry jam flavors, and even a kiss of smoky oak.

Like pungent green grass and cat pee in your white wines? Then buy this one. It's dry and acidic, but has a ripe, long-lasting, citrusy finish.

This is a good price, but be forewarned, this is a very rustic wine. It's dry, sharp in acids and jammy in blackberry flavors, with the unfinished feeling of a wine still in the fermenter.
