A Cab-Merlot blend, this scores high on the deliciousness factor. It’s lush in ripe blackberry and cherry flavors, with sweet, refined tannins. The alcohol is on the high side, but there’s no heat, just a nice, smooth roundness. Great price for such a nice Bordeaux-style wine.

This blend of Cabernet and Merlot tastes more like a Shiraz than a Bordeaux blend. It’s jammy and peppery and also Porty, with an overripe, brandied taste.
