Opens with a pretty aroma that’s clean and complex, suggesting violets, cassis, vanilla and smoky spice. Drinks quite rich and supple, with a firm body and a gritty mouthfeel due to the tannins. There’s a good amount of sweetly ripe fruit that is pleasant through the finish.

A lovely wine, rich and supple. Just shows how well this varietal can do up in the Foothills. Ripe blackberry with a hint of tangerine and peach, and a delicate waft of milk chocolate. Despite the richness the wine is fully dry, with great tannins that are silky smooth. A real find.
