Excellent nose, wonderful aromas, tobacco, chocolate, leather, lots of rich, ripe, black fruit and herbs; dry in the front of the mouth, but balanced and nicely structured; this is a young wine and there are lots of up-front tannins that still define a great deal of the initial flavors; the wine opens to more sour cherry fruit flavors and a lighter fare; good finish, a bit too tannic now, which makes the wine seem green in the mouth; should balance out over the longer term.
