This white blend offers exotic fruit, almond and some banana on the nose; the alcohol notes seem a bit pungent as it warms in the glass. The wine is lean and crisp in the mouth. Imported by Vin Divino.

This is a particularly well-balanced edition of Benuara (a 70-30 blend of Nero d’Avola and Syrah) that boasts a very nice quality and integrity of fruit followed by fresh aromas of blackberry, cherry and a shading of exotic spice. The low price will also win you over.

There’s a candy-like element here that gives this Insolia a fun and playful disposition. Drying aromas of white mineral are followed by peach, honey and citrus. The wine is fresh, lean and slightly tart on the close.

Expert NoteJanuary 12, 2012
The handsome Cusumano brothers recently jumped on the Pinot Nero bandwagon with this spicy expression of the grape from their native Sicily. The ruby colored wine is redolent of spice, red licorice and candy cane and ends with bright freshness on the close.

A fruit forward nose with emphasis on dried fruit, prunes, raisins and currant berries. Ripe cherry comes through in the mouth where the wine shows good structure; shows Nero d'Avola as the elegant grape it is.

Expert NoteJanuary 12, 2012
Dense and concentrated with a deep purple color, this modern, meaty wine offers accents of vanilla and spice over a solid base of cherry fruit, plum and blackberry. Sàgana is a chewy and fruity expression of Nero d’Avola that delivers solid tannins and very good succulence.

Cusumano delivers a grand slam blend of Nero d’Avola, Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon that shows great harmony and balance. The aromas here are modern and ripe with a specific focus on chocolate and spice and the wine ends with a long finish, good intensity of fruit and firm tannins.
