The lovely pale salmon color of this Stellenbosch Rosé speaks of its delicate nature, and on the nose and palate, the wine is light and playful. Good acidity, fresh fruit flavors and a crisp, clean finish make this a fun and friendly summer wine that will pair well with a variety of dishes.

This is pleasant, but the fruit lacks depth. Aromas and flavors of cherry, leather, cedar and menthol sweeten the deal. Finishes with herbed meat and a hint of melon rind.

Radicchio, toast and mushroom aromas meld with delicate black fruit flavors and green herbs that carry to the finish. This wine seems simple, almost stark; wants more complexity. —K.F.
