Sweet, earthy nose loaded with green herbs and nicely perfumed scents, ripe black fruit aromas, but at the same time the nose is somewhat hard and unyielding; sweet fruit in the mouth, black cherries, ripe and round; dry tannins in the mouth that border on searing, but then pull back to maintain balance; long finish, dry and peppery; a bit light but quite good.
