Dill, cheese and mossy fruit give this wine a less than super bouquet. The palate is light, with strawberry flavors mixed with some peppery, herbal overtones. Short on the finish; not much bang for the buck.

We’re not getting very much from this label. Diez-Caballero’s 2001 Reserva was not very good when it probably should have been, and this ‘03 crianza barely exceeds that wine. Brickish in color, with aromas of cinnamon, raisin and spray paint. The flavor profile includes raisin, tobacco and brown sugar. At least it’s not a mean wine.
