Nearly purple in the glass, this wine has aromas of cherry and cranberry with touches of olive and leather. Lighter-bodied than many Bordeaux blends, with acidity putting it on the tart side, it is nevertheless enjoyable and a good match for chicken dishes and Italian fare. Tart cherry and darker berry flavors come with spice and leather. A good showing from a more difficult vintage, this winery’s second.
