Quite aged nose, with a definite touch of Madeira and sherry, a touch sweet, butterscotch and herbs; showing its age on the palate, sweet in the front of the mouth with a shot of dry textures that define these wines, good solid acidity and did open up in the mouth a bit, but this wine has turned the corner and is now rapidly approaching extinction; there is still fruit here, but the wine is pretty lame now and has to be drunk quickly.
