Quite a light colored wine. There are aromas of pure strawberry fruits with a layer of acidity. The palate has firm, dry tannins, but underneath there are delicious, pure ripe fruits. It is still very young, but this could develop to become an attractive wine, if old-fashioned in style.

Confuron-Cotetidot was one of the pioneers of cold maceration before fermentation, giving extra color and extract to the wine. Intensely powerful coffee flavors and dry tannins support black fruits and just a touch of orange zest. Wood and fruit tannins are dry but generous, suggesting that this wine has good aging ability.

An intensely perfumed wine, with a smoky character. It is big and rich, but there is also sweet, juicy fruit, a hint of new wood and piercing acidity to finish.

Raspberry fruit aromas and smoky wood give this wine an immediately appealing character. It is intense, too, and finishes with loads of toasty wood.
