A blend of Cabernet, Merlot and Limnio, this is a young wine with nice fruit but it’s lacking in complexity. Grapey on the nose, with grass, spice and hints of coffee emerging, the palate is soft with dusty tannins. A mineral, chalky feel coats the mouth, and the grapey flavors backed by blueberry pie don’t diminish it.

The nose on this layered Merlot offers dark cherry, cocoa and spice aromas. Cedar, cigarbox, cherry and chocolate on the palate are balanced with a clean, chalky mouthfeel. The wine can age but has appeal now, and a serious focus.

Aromas of fruit, pepper and chocolate are followed by sweet and warm flavors of wild cherry, smoke and mulberry with this 50% Merlot, 50% Xinomavro blend. The flavors are unique but the wine needs more depth and has a slightly innocuous overall feel.
