Sweet nose, lots of black cherry fruit, earthen and smoky with a slightly gamey aroma, touch of sour mash on the nose; sweet and ripe fruit on the front of the mouth, surprisingly elegant and deep; sweet and silky on the palate; not complex or deep, but very fresh and pleasant; nicely made wine with nice pitch and a long smooth finish; nicely mature but still very fresh in this format. (17/20)
