Layered nose of earthy, forest floor aromas with smoky, peppery and gamy notes. Nicely complex fruit and savory flavors, tart cherry, spice, clove, creamy toffee. Full-bodied, fresh with crunchy but supple tannins. Quite delicious all around.

There's some attractive strawberry fruit on the nose but this red turns a bit angular and thin in the mouth with cherry and nougat flavors that are somewhat clipped.

Aromas of baked red cherry-berry fruit with hints of garrigue and spice. Fruit driven palate of candied black fruit, malt, toffee and baking spice. Creamy round texture with grippy tannins and a sweet and savory spicy finish. Lacks a little freshness.
