Winery - Domaine de Villeneuve

Expert NoteJanuary 12, 2012
With its biodynamic viticulture, this is an exciting small domaine close to Beaucastel. The pure fruit flavors, very direct and intense, attest to the quality of the grapes, while the vinification is simple, hands-off, leaving great flavors of ripe black plums, spices, fresh tannins and a great openness. Give this wine 5 years of aging after it arrives, probably sometime next year. Imported by Martin Scott Wines.

Expert NoteJanuary 12, 2012
From a biodynamic vineyard, this wine has pure, beautifully perfumed fruit. Aromas of herbs and wild flowers counterpoint the firm, huge, rich flavors, and ripe, black fruits. It is seductively ready to drink, but should age for at least 10 years.

Expert NoteJanuary 12, 2012
Shows the power and intensity of the 2005 vintage, packing in plenty of weight and tannin. The black cherry and plum flavors are a bit monolithic but pure, picking up a hint of tar on the long, astringent finish. Hold 3–5 years. Imported by International Gourmet.
