Complex enough on the nose, where cinnamon, cured meat and cherries all intertwine. But it drops off a bit on the palate. It’s supple and round but could use more intensity. Drink now.

Marked by some tarry, charred-barrel notes, but there’s also plenty of sweet, ripe cherry fruit upfront, with roasted coffee notes chiming in on the finish. Supple, round and easy to drink. Drink now–2012.
