The style here is of controlled rusticity; there’s leather and spice but also a fair amount of fruit. In this case, it’s dried fruit, but with good concentration, length and a velvety, fully ripe mouthfeel.

A pretty typical 70-30 blend of Grenache and Syrah, this is a solid, sturdy Côtes-du-Rhône, a bit rustic and spicy, but also boasting a fair amount of black cherry fruit. A good burger wine at a reasonable price.

This 100% Viognier can’t tout that fact on the label, nor does it flaunt it on the nose, which shows apricot and pear notes but not the bold, floral aromas of the variety. On the palate, it’s medium-bodied, with warm stone fruit flavors and a touch of spice on the finish.

Almost 80% Grenache, with the rest largely Syrah, this is a solid, well-made wine at a great price. Red-fruit flavors flow easily across the palate aboard a creamy mouthfeel, while complex spice notes chime in on the long, supple finish.

Full bodied, even a bit chunky in build, this 100% Syrah Côtes du Rhône features blueberry, vanilla and black olive aromas complemented by dense, slightly chewy fruit on the palate. Concentrated and long, if not terribly elegant; pair it with steak or roasts.
