From its dense color and its thick aromas of smoked meats and hedgerow fruits to its dense, rich and concentrated fruit, this is a superlative wine. The solid fruit and hugely extracted tannins give it great weight. This could age for at least 20 years, and certainly won’t be ready to drink before 10.

A deeply colored wine, generous and opulent, full of rich, silky fruit. Aromas of wild strawberries show through on the palate with ripe, sweet fruit and fine but dense tannins. This is a wine that lives up to its name vineyard—a wine for lovers, indeed.

The Les Cras vineyard lies right against the hillside in chalky soil with low vigor. The tannins of this wine are much firmer than is typical of other Chambolle-Musignys. There are aromas of spice and smoked meat on the nose. The fruit is very structured and solid, but also ripe. There is a smoky, toasty aftertaste.

This is a straightforward, deliciously fruity wine with rich, juicy fruit flavors. Fresh raspberry flavors provide a sweetness to dominate the soft tannins. Already drinkable, it should continue to mature well over the next five years.

An immediately attractive wine, with aromas of summer flowers and orange zest. Soft, sweet fruits and ripeness underline the delicious pure fruit flavors. The structure is dense but fine, the essence of a seductive Pinot Noir.
