This is a classic Languedoc, opens with a big but somewhat crude nose loaded with tobacco and herb aromas, sweet and earthy, lots of black fruit scents; first flavors are a bit crude and chewy, lots of tobacco leaf and earth; more time in the glass brings out additional depth and more complexity; later flavors are sweeter and contain more nuance of chocolate, herbs, and rich acidity; good tannins add structure; balanced acidity; long finish with a slightly dense but elegant composition; another excellent price point wine from this region.
