This wine is mostly Syrah—from old vines—and it really delivers the goods. The nose is deep and earthy, with a hint of minerals. The big plum-filled mouth is meaty and saturated, but not tannic or harsh. And the finish is tasty and fruity, with nuances of vanilla and spice. Overall it’s a rock-solid winner with length, complexity and muscle.
