Expert NoteJanuary 12, 2012
This beautiful wine is austere at this very young stage. But what pent-up power—the richness comes from glorious ripe fruit, tempered with a core of steel and wrapped with pure lemon, apricot and toast flavors. Age for 10 years at least.

A tense, mineral wine, striated with citrus zest and toast. The wine is tight, nervy in character, holding back its future richness under a firm structure. Keep for four years at least.

Balancing sweet wood and mineral-driven citrus character, this is elegant and stylish, showing peach and grapefruit flavors. The wood, so fine, acts as balance and support. Age for 5–6 years.

A mix of fresh citrus and toasty wood work well together in this elegant wine. The texture is soft, rounded, finishing with a great dash of lime. This is sophisticated white Burgundy.

Expert NoteJanuary 12, 2012
A ripe, toasty wine, very buttery. It has rich, almost sweet yellow fruit balanced with a wonderful mineral texture. The wine, of course, is still very young, but shows its future as being rounded and opulent. The acidity that holds it all together shows in the finish.

A second release for this stunningly rich wine, which is developing bottle bouquet of creme brulee, caramel, peach pie, macaroon, lemon zest, butter and smoke. Gorgeous in the mouth, still firm and angular but with decadent flavors. Delicious now, rich as sin, a fabulous wine with a long future ahead.

Expert NoteJanuary 12, 2012
An extremely complex wine. At five-plus years, the peach, lime and tart apple flavors are picking up mineral, mushroom, earth and medicinal overtones. Drinks soft, lush and creamy, yet with crisp acidity. This multi-layered wine changes with each sniff and swirl, and finishes with astonishing length.

Expert NoteJanuary 12, 2012
A second release in this country, and what a pleasant wine. Still vibrant and youthful at nearly six years. Big, rich and dense in the mouth, almost jammy with its flavors of white peach, pear, roasted hazelnut, smoke and vanilla, and brilliant for its savory acidity and firm, classic structure. A solid candidate for further aging.

Expert NoteJanuary 12, 2012
A young, crisp Chardonnay with some sharp elbows of acidity. The peach, apple and citrus flavors are very dry. Offers plenty of polish and length for a regional wine.

Really ripe wine, with toast and yellow fruits, laced with intense citric acidity and a mineral edge, to go with the mouthwatering fruit. Needs to age for 5–6 years.
