Richly fruity and forward, this hints at sur-maturité, with its notes of cherry and apricot layered over dark berry flavors. Seems to be destined for relatively early consumption, but isn’t a total fruit bomb thanks to some dusty tannins on the finish.

Black olives and blackberries here, with the somewhat rustic flavors smoothed out by a full, round mouthfeel. Lacks a little spice and nuance, but shows good power and length on the finish. Drink 2007-2015.

Violets, and pepper, cassis and raspberry make for a lovely and intriguing bouquet, amplified by round, mouthfilling flavors and a velvety mouthfeel. Soft tannins join espresso flavors on the finish. Drink now–2014.
