What puts this wine above ordinary is its bouquet. Sure, it has solid cherry fruit, tinged with leather and spice, but it also has a charming perfumy, almost floral aspect to its cherry aromas.

Slightly lighter in color than the other 2005 Tavels but no less flavorful, this is a balanced, classy wine with cherry and white chocolate notes that harmonize nicely on the nose and the palate. Not too complex; it’s like getting comfortable in a familiar chair.
