The nose offers maple, roasted nuts and some deep black fruit. The palate is grapy and chunky, and the finish is heavily dosed with coffee and burnt wood. The overall sensation is slightly hot and tannic. For those interested, it’s from Yacochuya, in the northern Salta region. —M.S.
