Powerful nose with lots of pepper and spice, cracked black pepper aromas mixed with sweet, ripe fruit; deep nose with lots of richness and texture; the same richness carries over into the mouth with layers of soft, ripe fruit; sweet spiced fruit, cinnamon and cloves, mulled wine; dry soft tannins with a silky and smooth texture; long finish, intense with pure flavors; this is very fine wine. Woody, dry nose with harsh aromas; this wine is dried out with all of the fruit gone now; hard to tell what it might have been like originally, bitter and hollow now. (NR)
