Somewhat aggressive nose with black fruits and earth, acidity and alcohol are evident in the aromas that make the nose somewhat hard; there is a shot of sweet fruit in the front of the mouth, but it fades into the background, being overtaken by somewhat tough and chewy textures; the wine seems to lack fruit, and therefore is short on charm; certainly drinkable, but not one that I would seek out. Wonderful, sweet nose with elegant perfumed nuances of sweet fruit and floral aromas, lightly scented of earth and spices, really appealing; sweet and sophisticated in the mouth with black cherry and spice flavors; the wine is really well balanced with a nice mix of lightly pleasing acidity and softened but still quite noticeable tannins; light elegant finish, this has the classic feminine character of the Burgundy all the way to the end; this is well made. Opens with a rich nose of sweet and honeyed fruit, surprisingly ripe and rich nose for a wine this young, lots of smoke and minerals; very pure and clean in the mouth, loaded with fresh lemons; there is a softness and richness in the mid-mouth with a hint of tropical fruits, but this is fleeting, and the wine assumes the classic flavors of lemon zest and hints of minerals with a touch of slate; long finish, fresh and intense with years of life ahead. Very herbal and green on the nose, lots of interesting spice aromas, smoky and earthen, green pepper aromas; sweet and smooth in the mouth with spicy, pepper, green herb flavors; savoy cabbage and stewed cabbage; peppery and spicy at the finish with a hot, peppery finish; lacks the sweetness that these wines often have, but perhaps that will come later with more bottle age. Always an interesting wine, with a little age, the wine loses some of its vibrancy, but maintains a certain uniqueness of flavor; opens with a somewhat restrained nose that has lots of funky overtones, old tires, cabbage, but also honeyed fruit and dusty lemon peel aromas; intense in the mouth with intense lemon flavors, dry textured but well focused; a bit oily and earthen with elements of lemon extract and sugar; long finish, not elegant but always an interesting experience. Spicy aromas, lots of beeswax, green herbs and grass; sweet fruit in the mouth, a bit dense as this wine tends to be; a bit raisiny at first, but then finds a better balance with the emergence of good lemony acidity that freshens the flavors; candied lemons and touches of dry earth; medium finish; as always, this is a reliable wine, but never rises to the top of the list. Wafting, aromatic nose, aromas of beeswax and oleander, lilacs, ripe and rich fruits with a hint of honey; ripe and rich in the mouth with an overabundance of sweet fruit, but there is also a nice touch of lemons and fresh acidity; a bit blousy and flabby at the finish; this is not a first-tier wine, but a pleasant way to pass an afternoon. Rich nose with lots of herbs and ripe, honeyed fruit aromas, hints of earthen aromas and minerals, round and soft; sweet and rich in the mouth; there is honeyed fruit and lemons nicely mixed together; good balance of acidity emerges to give the wine more structure and dryness, and to keep it from becoming flabby in the mouth; long finish; this is always a good wine and much overlooked in today’s rush to the grand crus. Smoky, earthen nose, still very tight and closed, sweet fruit aromas, perfumed and elegant; sweet fruit in the front of the mouth that is nicely balanced and restrained, elegant flavors; quite citric and lemony on the palate but also with a nice mixture of sweet fruit blended in; spicy, tight finish; needs more time but a good quality wine. Big and powerful nose with loads of lemon fruit aromas, roasted quality to the nose, toffee and caramel; big and powerful in the mouth with multilayered and exotic flavors; there is a dry center to this wine, it is not unpleasant, but rather adds a different texture to what is already a complex set of flavors; touches of bread and toast; long lemony finish, layered and powerful.
