A standard issue Pinot Noir. It’s dry and silky, showing decent cherry and cola flavors and quite a bit of tart acidity. Ready to drink now.

At three-plus years, this Chard tastes soft and candied, with pineapple LifeSaver flavors.

Coming from cool Edna Valley, the acidity is here, even in this hot vintage, and so is the clean, long hangtime fruit. The wine bursts with blackberries, cherries, plums and wilder notes of unidentified forest berries and sweet, smoky leather. Drink now, for its complex, juicy youthfulness.

Creamy and a little unripe, with a vegetal edge to the citrus and pear flavors. It’s dry, acidic and clean. Works for everyday fare.
