This is the perfect wine for washing down pasta salad and easy dishes. Peach, citrus and pink grapefruit are delivered in measured doses and the wine is light and lean in the mouth with a brilliant sparkle of acidity on the close.

The lead aromas of red fruit register a bit herbal, while the palate runs a touch darker, offering berry and plum flavors. Fairly full and solid in the mouth, with a modicum of lushness.

Starts better than it finishes, with promising scents of pears, honey and lemon rind. Light in body, which is fine, but the flavors are an unbalanced blend of ripe pears and stridently sour lemons, turning a bit metallic on the finish.

Fairly simple on the nose, but solid, with ripe pears leading the way. The flavors pick up some interesting graphite notes, extending through the minerally finish. Surprisingly full-bodied.

A new generation of Sicilian brands has recently been experimenting with Pinot Noir in sunny Sicily. This expression, that is aged in stainless steel, shows a pretty garnet color and delicate aromas of raspberry, rose and violet.
