Big nose with lots of sweet fruit up front, but also some complex aromas of green olives, green peppers, perfumed herbs; an interesting wine that we drank much too young; first taste was closed, defined more by almost searing acidity and a peppery and spicy set of flavors; more time in the glass allowed the wine to develop more sweetness and show its high extract of black fruits; nicely integrated elements in this wine with a long finish; should show well with more bottle age. (18.5/20) Also tasted at Henry Leung’s Napa Valley’s Rarest dinner, with consistent notes.
