Expert NoteJanuary 12, 2012
It’s the coppery color of a French rosé, but tastes nothing like it. This Bobal-Monastrell blend is just this side of cloying, with leathery aromas and flavors reining the sweet peach fruit in before it crosses the line into Candyland. A simple quaff; a good bridge to wine, perhaps, for wine cooler drinkers. 30,000 cases produced. —D.M.

Simple and fruity, with red-cherry and candied aromas. The palate offers pie cherry and raspberry with a streak of acidity running through the center. Finishes light and zesty. Not much to it, but not bad. Imported by Tasman Imports, Ltd.

Crisp and tight, with a slate-based nose that offers citrus and melon. Quite zesty and clean on the palate, with citrus-driven flavors of tangerine and pineapple. Compelling and precise; full, lengthy and tasty. Imported by Tasman Imports, Ltd.

Yellow fruit and mineral flavors in the mouth; more of the same, plus some mustard and petrol notes on the nose. Are the flavors light and delicate, or is there just not much here?
