Starts off with some mild sweaty-sock scents that quickly give way to cleaner aromas of pear, apple and lime. Elegantly wrought and balanced, with off-dry apple and citrus flavors that finish on a tart, lime-driven note. Imported by Chapin Cellars.

An interesting, characterful kabinett, with scents of smoke and scorched oil that mingle with lime and apple notes. On the palate, it delivers plenty of zippy citrus flavors, wrapped in a confounding veil of smoke and tar. Might prove better in time; give it 3–4 years of cellaring.

Lithe and streamlined, with spare fruit aboard a minerally frame. Kerosene and petrol notes dominate, ending with a burst of fresh lime-like flavors.

This sweet, full-bodied auslese starts off a little shaky, offering up lots of smoke, diesel, lees and traces of sulfur, then rights itself in the mouth, where the ripe melon and pear flavors are nicely complemented by smoke and minerals. The long finish picks up a trace of bitterness, which actually helps to balance the sweetness.
