Although it isn’t indicated anywhere on the bottle, we have it from a reliable source that this is 100% Syrah—and it certainly tastes like it. Smoke, black-pepper and even some bacon-fat aromas lead into flavors of leather, coffee, cherries and bitter herbs. The bright acidity and stemmy notes on the finish indicate better things to come. Editors’ Choice.
