Loads of black pepper and foliage notes unfold in the bouquet here, with supporting aromas of bacon, game and red plum skins. The fruit is a bit more assertive in the satiny mouth, with plum flesh and ripe cherry lifting the cured meat character. A superb value that’s complex yet approachable.
